Sāhitya Pariṣada was once inhabited by erudite paṇḍits. Thus, BRC found manuscripts primarily on Smṛti (law), along with the Bhāgavata Purāṇa and some Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava manuscripts. The place also housed a collection of rare, antique items like swords and idols. The librarian, Pārtha Prāmānik, warmly welcomed the BRC team and allowed them to digitize and preserve their manuscript collection.
