The Bāṅsbeḍiyā Public Library in the Hooghly District is an old institution with a remarkable collection of books. Mr. Svapan Dey, the librarian, warmly welcomed the BRC team who digitized the manuscripts in the library.
Bāṅsbeḍiyā is renowned for the Haṁseśvarī Kālī Temple, which once belonged to the local king. The temple is situated within the premises of the king’s palace, although the palace itself has fallen into disrepair.
